Rainbow Construction has built a tradition of excellence since 1966
on all types of new construction, renovation, historic restoration
and expansion projects in Kansas.
We
have the experience and expertise to help you meet your commercial
and industrial building needs, on-time and within budget, whether
your project is competitively bid or negotiated. The new 65 foot
high sanctuary, fellowship hall, 75 foot bell tower and 55,000 square foot school
for Holy Cross Lutheran Church
in east Wichita are prime examples of the detail and quality of
our work.
Just a few examples of other Rainbow Construction projects include the restoration of the historic Farmers and Drovers Bank in Council Grove; Delta Dental's new corporate headquarters at The Waterfront; two vertical expansions and renovations for Professional Engineering Consultants; renovation of the former Better Book Room building for Wichita State University's Self-Help Network; an addition and renovation for the Breakthrough Club in downtown Wichita; multiple renovations for Mulvane State Bank, including the building for the bank's first branch in Wichita; the new veterinary hospital for the Sedgwick County Zoo; a new bridal corridor and multiple renovations for St. James Episcopal Church; two new branch facilities for Credit Union of America; multiple renovations for Cargill Meat Solutions at Centre City Plaza and the former IMA building; new INTRUST Bank branches in Derby and El Dorado; renovations for Wichita State University's new classroom facility in Derby; a building expansion for the Murdock Companies; restoration of the Woolf Brothers building for John T. Arnold Associates in downtown Wichita, which received local and national awards; restoration improvements to the Kansas Aviation Museum; new jury facilities and three new courtrooms with support facilities in the Sedgwick County Courthouse; renovation and expansion of Irving, Emerson and Peterson Elementary Schools; a new Quik Trip at Kellogg and Maize; renovations in several Food 4 Less grocery stores; and a new administration building and stadium/track/sports facility for USD 402 in Augusta, Kansas. Please visit our Project Gallery for more information on a small sampling of our projects.
We invite you to share some of our clients' testimonials about our company. |
Current projects include a new library for the City of Haysville; a new facility for Midwest Marking Products in downtown Wichita; several projects for INTRUST Bank; a new high school in Goddard; additional renovations for St. James Episcopal Church; a new recreational building at Camp Hiawatha for The Salvation Army; and an office building renovation for Paradigm.
Many
of our clients return to us when planning a new project. Rainbow
was originally selected through the bid process as the general contractor
for the new Holy Cross Lutheran Church School. The church members
and staff were so pleased with the results that four years later,
when they were ready to build a new sanctuary and fellowship hall,
they came directly to Rainbow and negotiated the $4 million project
with no bonding required. We have since completed a 75 foot bell
tower for Holy Cross and the build-out of the fellowship hall. As INTRUST Bank's primary general contractor
for many years, we have performed numerous new construction and
renovation projects for the bank throughout Kansas. We have completed numerous renovation projects for Cargill Meat Solutions, including projects on all ten floors of the Centre City Plaza building in downtown Wichita and the company's recently acquired building at 2nd and Water Streets. We have also completed numerous renovation projects in different downtown buildings over the past 30 years for Black Building Management.
We have completed multiple projects for other
customers as well, including Professional Engineering Consultants,
Ritchie Paving Corporation, The Martens Companies, the law firm
of Sherwood and Harper, St. James Episcopal Church, Mulvane State Bank, Credit Union
of America, Food 4 Less, the City of Wichita,
Sedgwick County, and several area Unified School Districts.
Rainbow is financially stable, fully insured
and can bond any project we undertake. We have completed
training and received the Healthcare Contractor's Certificate from
the American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American
Hospital Association, and are one of the few local general contractors
with the experience and knowledge to perform our own tilt-up concrete
work. We are also a licensed Inland Building dealer.
A
second generation family company, Rainbow is owned and operated
by Bob and Marla Howard. Bob's 35+ years of commercial/industrial
construction experience includes projects in the United States,
Europe and Japan, and covers all aspects of general contracting.
The Howards are residents of Wichita and enjoy motorsports and a
variety of outdoor activities.
With approximately 40 employees experienced
in different construction specialties, Rainbow is large enough to
have the labor and expertise to perform a majority of the work ourselves,
versus using subcontractors. The net result is quality work at a
cost savings to our clients. Yet Rainbow is small enough so that
all of our clients and projects receive excellent service and attention,
including the personal attention of our highly experienced president
and owner, to whom the reputation of the company, quality of work,
and ability to perform on schedule are paramount.
