	This new high tech library for the City of Derby features a unique arched standing seam roof design which is reflected in the library's main room with its thirty foot high arched ceilings and exposed bar joist and duct work. Not only is this library totally equipped with wireless capabilities, but it also incorporates a self service checkout with touch screen monitors. The full height lobby and gathering place that leads you to the main library room will also take you to a large 180 person capacity community room, a conference room, group study room with two smaller study rooms, and a computer lab. The building was designed utilizing concrete foundations and cast-in-place concrete beams and columns, structural steel walls, bar joist and beams, cold formed framing and a masonry exterior combined with insulated wall panels.
